Grant Taylor – Nike SB Chronicles Vol. 1 (2011)
Float like a butterfly. Sting like a bee.
It’s got to be in the genes. Grant Taylor’s dad used to skate. That explains it. Or maybe it’s the terrain. Grant Taylor grew up in Portland where transition and rough spots are abundant. That must be it. Or maybe it’s his career run. Grant Taylor has been on the industry radar since he was a grom. Yeah, that must be the reason he is such a killer on his board.
All of that said, Grant is a terrific force on a skateboard and his Nike SB Chronicles Vol. 1 part cemented his legacy as a an all terrain warrior leading the way for skateboarding into an ambidextrous ability level that far surpassed switch flips over picnic tables. With Grant leading the way, it was no longer sufficient to call yourself a top tier professional it you weren’t ready to attack deep concrete bowls with pads then leap onto handrails measured in double digit metrics.
